Biography
Patrick Haupt, concert guitarist for 6- and 10-string guitar is a passionate artist.
Connected to music since early childhood, he discovered the classical guitar for himself. Patrick gave his first concert at the age of 12, in particular he dedicated himself to Spanish guitar and vihuela music.
Going his own way in literature, Patrick Haupt composed new music for the string instrument, as well as numerous transcriptions and adaptations.
Side projects such as big band concerts, participation in operas and musicals as well as CD productions and video recordings in cooperation with Bayerischer Rundfunk flow into the musical career.
Fascinated by the sound possibilities of the guitar, Patrick Haupt, in collaboration with guitar makers, developed new instruments and brought back to life historical blueprints. The result is important sound tools that belong to Patrick’s collection in addition to the rare guitars of famous luthiers wich lend sound and expression for his playing.
Many years of training and studies with numerous lecturers and artists such as Dr. Thomas Bauser, Siegbert Remberger, Prof. Eduardo Fernandez, Janez Gregoric and many others and a variety of masterclasses for guitar and F.M. Alexander Technique and activities as Sales & Marketing Manager in the music industry provide a solid expertise in the field of classical guitar.
Numerous concert evenings in Germany and abroad as well as appearances at art exhibitions offered a wide range of performance possibilities for the freelance artist.
Patrick Haupt is also dedicated to the musical education of his students and knows how to pass on his knowledge enthusiastically. In individual lessons both beginners and advanced music lovers are accompanied on the way of learning the instrument and individually supported.
